A Little About Mrs. Ring...
I began teaching in my hometown of Denver, Colorado 18 years ago. Over the years, I have had many wonderful teaching and learning experiences. I started off as an ESL teacher, helping children from all around the world learn English. As a classroom teacher I've enjoyed working with kids in every grade level from first to fourth! I feel very fortunate for my experiences teaching overseas in both Medellin, Colombia and in Vienna, Austria.
I earned my BA at Smith College in Massachusetts, my Master’s Degree at the University of Colorado, and completed work toward a PhD in Literacy at the University of New Hampshire.
I love teaching third grade and am happy to be returning to my 8th year at Coastal Ridge. I consider myself very lucky to have found a profession that brings me such fulfillment and happiness.
I live here in York with my husband Christopher and my two children, Aidan (10 years old) and Molly (8 years old). Molly is a third grader at CRES this year (right next door) and Aidan is a 5th grader at YMS. When not teaching, I enjoy traveling, cooking, running, hiking, skiing, reading, and spending time with my family.
